So after 7 normal births with boys. In december 2018 we found out in was expecting AGAIN. After a troublesome start it went smoothly (other then sickness!! Managed to get to 27 weeks and pow my waters decided to break. Leaving me in hospital for 1 week. After being discharged and weekly visits back and forth to qmc Nottingham. At 30 week check up, there was signs of infection. They decided to keep me in till birth! At 31 weeks and 6 days my 1st baby girl was born... after 3 long weeks in neo natal... she managed to come home. After 3 weeks she rushed back into PICU. She was having apnias at home, she spent a week on life support. She is well now. She's been through a lot and is doing really well now. I think after all the staff there did for us. I could do something great for them.
You don't know how hard it is there till you've been there. You donations make all the difference. If it be towards a couple of new breasts pumps and screens, feeding tubes, IV lines. It'll help no end. They will be grateful for anything.
My target is good but let's see if we can really make a difference.
