Story

Dear All,

On Tuesday 8th august we sucessfully completed the channel crossing in 3 hours and 20 minutes starting in Dover, as planned, and finishing in Calais. We were blessed with brilliant conditions which made for a really exciting sail. Waves up to ten foot, and a force 4/5 wind meant that we planed all the way across. The ships and ferries proved not to be a problem due to the excelence of the Pilot support boat. All in all it was a very sucessfull expedition and thank you to all those who have supported us so far.

We have raised a considerable amount offline however we still have a little way to go and so any support would be welcomed.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Nic and Flo

About the charity

The Foundation aims to promote boating attainable for all. People disadvantaged by youth age disability financial hardship or social circumstances are under-represented in the boating world. We give grants to fund the facilities needed to open doors to new participants and develop social capital
