Story
TEN Foundations are a local charity working to support vunerable children, women and families in the Philippines.
Their Livelihood Programme empowers women they work with, equipping them with new skills to enable them to earn a decent living wage so they can feed their children and send them to school to get an education. Each woman is taught how to make schoolbags using an industrial sewing machine. These schoolbags are then sold at a shop on the Lisburn Road in Belfast and all the proceeds go to the women who made them.
This May I will be traveling with 30 other students to the Philippines to volunteer with TEN Foundations. We will be taking part in programmes involving Education, Medicine and Sustainable Building and Development.
Any support would really be appreciated. TEN Foundations is an amazing charity who are doing very important work in the Philippines and your money could help give a woman the tools to lift herself and her children out of the cycle of poverty!
Thanks for taking the time to read my Fundraising Page.
