Story
On my birthday this year I will take part in a 10k run from home to raise some money and awareness for CALM, an important mental health and suicide prevention charity in the UK.
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day. The charity is helping to save lives EVERYDAY of this lockdown period. I have posted more information below for those wanting to have a closer look at what CALM is all about.
This event is conveniently falling on Sunday 24th May and so I saw this as a sign I should take part to do my bit on the day I turn 20. I will complete the distance by doing laps of the garden and will be rewarding myself with a BBQ and a nice cold beer.
Any donation is a life-saving donation. Thank you.
