Story

This year we're celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and to celebrate we're doing a few special things. Help us with this one! We're going to climb Mount Kenya in July 2012 with the goal of raising £2,600 to help rebuild an orphanage in Ingwavuma, South Africa.

Over the years and through the Zoe Trust (www.zoetrust.org), we've got to know the children of the orphanage. The new buildings will provide a more comfortable home for them nearer to school, and through compliance with standards will make it possible for them to tap into government grants.

The Zoe Trust trustees are seeking to raise close to £20,000 to build one of the three orphanage houses required - and thanks to a triathlon, bike race, Jubilee walk, wedding gifts, we already have close to £17,000.

Mount Kenya is 5,200 metres high, so to raise £2,600 we need 50p for each metre of the mountain.  Sponsor us for part of the journey, anything from 1 metre to 5,200 metres! Every penny you give us will go directly to the construction of the new home.
