Story
Fydda’ i’n rhedeg Marathon Llundain ddiwedd Ebrill i godi arian i Tîm Irfon, achos agos iawn at fy nghalon. Roedd Irfon Williams yn ffrind annwyl ac ysbrydoliaeth llwyr, gyda’r holl wnaeth o i helpu ac annog eraill i frwydro canser a chadw’n bositif. Mae canser yn cyffwrdd cymaint ohonom - mae’r misoedd yn mynd heibio ers i ninnau golli Dad. Braf gallu codi arian i achos pwysig wrth droedio’r milltiroedd. Diolch x
I’ll be running the London Marathon at the end of April to raise money for Team Irfon, a cause very close to my heart. Irfon Williams was a dear friend and an inspiration, with all that he did to help and encourage others to fight cancer and stay positive. Cancer affects all of us - we still miss Dad. It’s good to be able to fundraise for an important cause whilst putting in the miles. Thank you x
More about the #TeamIrfon campaign::
Money raised through #TeamIrfon
funds wigs and headwear for patients, complementary therapies like reflexology and therapeutic massage, new equipment for the Alaw Unit, and specialist training to enable NHS staff to identify mental health difficulties in patients with cancer, allowing signposting to counselling and specialist mental health services. The mental health of Cancer patients and their family members is something that Irfon and his wife Becky viewed as of paramount importance. The campaign has also helped to fund part of a major redevelopment of the Alaw Unit, which included the construction of a dedicated
counselling room.
