Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We wanted to tell you a little bit about the cycle we are planning this year and more about the charity we’ll be supporting with funds raised.
With the annual K2B charity walk on Hold. I am wanting to continue raising money for local charities. This year to support our local NHS Workers whom continue to work so selflessly before & through out the COVID pandemic. We are hoping to raise as much money as we can for NHS Furness General Bay Hospital Intensive Care and associated Wards/Units. We couldn't think of a more fitting organisation at this time.
On May 23rd I aim to cycle Lands End to John o' Groats in 6 days. A distance of 1000miles & 520000ft of ascent.
The route will be completely COVID safe, ensuring that we are avoiding busy areas where possible and taking the non traditional route through 3 countries across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset ,Gwent, Powys ,Clwyd, Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Scottish Borders, Lanarkshire, Stirling, Argyle & Bute, and through the eagerly anticipated Highlands of Scotland.
While I aim to do this in May, we will be following all government guidelines on travel and have a few back-up dates throughout the year.
Note: The cycle ride will be completely self funded and all donations will go directly to the nominated charity.
Thank You all ever so much - Darryl, Mike & Percy x
