Story
Here we go again, I know I said it was my last time but how could I refuse leading my life long supported football club Nottingham Forest
back into Europe.
Also, my good friend and ex Forest skipper Steve Chettle said if I would do it again then he would join me, we also have the support of Nottingham Forest.
The aim is the same, to raise as much money and awareness as
we possibly by cycling a few miles, when I say a few miles I mean 16 hours in the saddle covering 212 miles over 3 days.
I’m riding with a team (currently 27) that a number of us will
be setting off from City ground, this day is in addition to the organised event which is normally two days.
I’m looking to take my fundraising total for Prostate Cancer UK to at least £15k for my cumulative rides, with the hope of taking our team total over the 4 consecutive rides to £100k
Where does your money go:
£10 – the price of one pair of socks
Could pay for one hour of a research assistant's time, providing valuable
support in laboratory settings and helping research projects run smoothly.
£50 - Could pay for the analysis of four tissue samples allowing scientists to understand more about prostate cancer and how it can develop in men. Using a sample from a man’s first biopsy to work out the individual make-up of his prostate cancer could help clinicians decide what treatment is most likely to work for him.
£100 - Could cover the cost of analysing six blood samples. Blood samples could be used to work out why a particular treatment works for some men and not others.
Thanks for your continued support #MenWeAreWithYou
