New Forest Football Academy Players and Coaches will be aiming to run a minimum of 250 km collectively, to raise funds for Lymington New Forest Hospital. We aim to complete the 250 km target as well as the £1500 fundraising goal by 31st May 2020.
Each day, we will update our Facebook page with statistics of our total amount of kilometres run, as well as money raised so far! We will also by giving away weekly prizes for our Academy players that are able to include a ball within their run! We also will be encouraging each player to make a donation for each run that they complete (min £1).
The New Forest Football Academy is a Football Academy set up that is based in the New Forest area for children aged 4 to 14. The Academy offers a complete football pathway for total beginners at entry level, through to our Academy and High Performance Squads, competing in the Saturday morning Wechsel High Performance League, before progressing into Professional Premier League Football Academy set ups. The Academy coaching team aim to provide the perfect training environment for young aspiring footballers, striving to achieve their footballing potential. Our Academy training centres are designed to run in partnership with your child’s current Sunday grassroots youth football club commitments, to maximise player development. In the last two years, 28 of our Academy players have progressed into either Southampton FC or AFC Bournemouth Academy & Pre-Academy.
Lymington Hospital Friends is a charity that supports the Hospital to deliver a growing range of health, wellbeing and care services for over 100,000 local people. We actively support the hospital to deliver services above and beyond that provided by the NHS.We are run by a voluntary Board of Trustees and many willing Volunteers who give their time freely to support the hospital.
