Event update 18th May 2009
Driving rain, glorious sunshine, biting headwinds, labyrinthine
woodland beauty, puncture pitt-stops, thigh-busting uphills and
adrenaline-shot downhills all played their part over two days as our
8-strong team of riders successfully pedalled their way across 90
miles of New Forest terrain.
Massive thanks for all your generous sponsorship over the past few
weeks. At a time when money is in short supply, our charity is
incredibly grateful to all of you for enabling us to still provide
life-changing holidays for disabled and disadvantaged children. This
site will be online until mid August so please do pass on the link to
as many people as possible to help us meet and hopefully exceed our
target.
Thanks again from all the team: Mike, Des, Kerrie, Ed, Nina, Miguel,
John & Tissy.

Pre-ride :
On 16th/17th May, a group of volunteers from the Newman Holiday Trust will be cycling their way around the New Forest in aid of the charity. The group will be setting off from Deerleap on Saturday morning, cycling all day, collapsing into youth hostel beds that night and riding all of Sunday back to their starting point. Sore buttocks guaranteed or your sponsorship money back.
Our charity needs to raise £60,000 per year to afford its life changing holidays- that's about £400 per child- and we rely solely on donations and fundraising events like this to make the holidays possible. Please sponsor whatever you can afford, and if you can, please send your family, friends and colleagues a link to this page.
Big thanks for your support.
