Story
This April we are setting our employees a challenge! Together we want to walk/run/cycle 1,000km to raise £1,000 and all funds raised will go to Victim Support Isle of Man – Newfield Charity of The Year 2021. This is our first official fundraising event for Victim support and we would love to get as many employees on board as possible :)
In order to meet our fundraising target we hope to create a bit of a buzz on social media and have friends, family and associates cheer us on with kind donations to meet the goal
All participants will donate £5 to enter the challenge and share with us their progress via our strava club or email over any other fitness tracking devices
We will be providing weekly updates with a top 5 leaderboard and the employee with the most km under their belt at the end of the challenge will win a small prize.
Lockdown has left Victim Support in increased demand, and they need help from the public more than ever.
In practice, the charity offers free and confidential help to victims and witnesses of crime, their family, and friends. This can be practical and emotional welfare support through Victim Support and/or support at court through the Witness Service. This support is available to adults, children, and young people affected by crime, death by road traffic accidents, unusual deaths, suicide, domestic and sexual violence, and abuse. Victim Support is independent from the Police, Courts and other Government departments and the crime can be historic and also does not have to have been reported to the Police.
Victim Support is Newfield's chosen charity of 2021. They play an incredibly important role on the Isle of Man like many others in providing valuable support to our residents.
Please join us and help us to reach our £1,000 goal, every little step helps!
