Story
Row Britannia is a 2020 mile rowing challenge, to be completed between 2nd and 13th March 2020, to raise £3,000 for Sport Relief.
Newcastle University challenges students and staff to row 1 mile each on one of the ergo stations located around campus. You can find ergos located at the Sports Centre, King's Gate and chosen accommodation sites (St Mary's and Bowsden Court) throughout the duration of the challenge, with additional stations located at NUSU, Castle Leazes and Robinson Library on 4th March. Donations can be made at each of the stations, don't forget to sign in at the station in order to enter our prize draw containing prizes such as an iPad, Canterbury clothing, Sports Centre membership, Sports Massages and catering vouchers.
Row Britannia has invited every University and College in the UK to register. If every UK University and College registers just 1 team and hits that target, they would collectively raise almost £1.5m for Sport Relief! In addition to raising vital funds, the positive awareness of Mental Health, Fitness and Wellbeing that they would raise within their communities could be extraordinary. Please raise whatever you can, it is a fantastic cause. We hope that you will take on the Row Britannia challenge.
