Story

When churches were asked to close their doors back in March 2020 as part of the National Lockdown, we could not have imagined that we would be be facing a very different Christmas this year. From mid November right through until Christmas Day the Salvation Army Newcastle City Temple Corps would usually be engaged in a number of activities to help support its ministry and mission to the most vulnerable. Covid-19 has put a stop to activities including traditional Christmas Fayres, Carol Concerts and Carolling - all of which have been used to raise significant funds for our work; and yet we are already seeing increased demands for practical support this Christmastime. Families are beginning to appeal to us for help with Christmas Toys and Gifts as well as basic food hampers. We realise that many are already struggling and so we invite you to partner with us in spreading a little Joy this Christmastime. Your monetary gifts, no matter how small, truly will help us to help others.  Thank you.
