Story

On 19th June Anne and I are going to be participating in the, ahem, Tour de Maiden Bradley, to help raise money for Parkinson's UK. A friend of Anne's has Parkinson's; a friend of hers is cycling from London to Paris, arriving there on 19th June, and a load of other people are joining her in spirit by cycling round the village (about a mile circuit) with the aim of covering the same distance, 342 miles, in total. For what it's worth, Anne and I are going to be cycling over there and back, another 30-odd miles, but that doesn't count towards the total.

Do please donate what you can to support research into this disease. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure; they promise not to sell on your details or send unwanted emails, and once you donate they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Sorry about the picture - the system is currently refusing to let me upload the usual shot of my pink lycra cycling top. Of course, this may actually increase the level of donations...

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
