Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Neuroblastoma is the most common solid tumour cancer in children under five. Two is the most common age of diagnosis. Children who are diagnosed have only a 50% chance of survival, and relapse rates are high.
Back in 2013, I set out on a folding bike to raise money for Solving Kids Cancer (then known as the NCCA). One bike led to another, then another, and I eventually ended up riding 44,444 miles in support of SKC over five long years: that was LifeCycleForNeuroblastoma.
I then went to Australia and did Ride2Cure solo across the outback from Brisbane to Adelaide in support of Neuroblastoma Australia, who support the Children's Cancer Institute in Sydney, where research is carried out into the disease.
After writing a book about the whole five year adventure ("Ride2Cure from a bus pass to the Outback" is available for download from Amazon, with all royalties going to research), I'm back with another bike buster:
Ride2Cure2 - another 25,000 mile journey in support of research into a cure for neuroblastoma.
There's no time limit on #R2C2 - it will take as long as it takes, but it would be nice to finish it in under three years: after all, I am 67 just now and I won't be around forever.
