Fundraising in memory of our beautiful Mia to support Meningitis Research Foundation and create the much needed awareness of this devastating disease.

Story

On the 9th of March 2022 I lost my Beautiful Bestfriend to Bacterial Meningitis. Her infection started as a sore throat which then developed into aches and pains and quickly escalated. Mia was Hospitalised and placed in an induced coma, but the severity of the Bacterial infection was so aggressive  which then caused Mia's brain to swell which then ultimately impacted on her brain stem, causing irreversible damage.

In 2022 I had the amazing opportunity to take part in the London Marathon and raise awareness and vital funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation.

I am so passionate about continuing to help others from contracting meningitis, that I am running the London Marathon again this year (2024), and I know Mia will be with me every step of the
way.

Every day I think of all of our laughs, smiles, and memory’s that we shared together, and like I promised you I will always make you proud XX

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
