I was reminded how important that is this spring when my sweet nephew D was hospitalized for a week in Le Bonheur's Epilepsy Monitoring Unit so that doctors could study and pinpoint the origin of his seizures. We met families who had traveled thousands of miles for the specialized care that we have to privilege of receiving in our backyard.
