Wow, thank you so much to everyone who has donated and helped me reach my target. I'm almost looking forward to Sunday knowing how much support is out there, I did say almost!!

Can't believe it's less than a week away now. I am in danger of recording the slowest time ever but I will make it round. Thank you so much to people who have already supported me!

A slight set back has occurred keeping me from runiing these past couple of weeks but I'm hoping that steroids next week (they don't drugs test at the GNR do they?!!) will sort the latest problem out so I can resume the torture (oops, Fraudian slip I mean training)
Gym has been joined and even visited on more than one occasion. The light evenings make finding time to run is easier. Although I'd probably be better off running in the dark (no one can see the pain etched on my face)!!
I've just recently been diagnosed with MS and, as frightening as it was to begin with, the diagnosis has infact encouraged me to finally get as fit as I've wanted to be. With the added incentives of health and fitness being one of my best defences against the progression of this disease (no cure yet and the treatment only offers a slowing down of around 30%) and being able to raise money for the MS society and thereby contributing to future research, the Great North Run seemed like the perfect plan.
Those people who know me will by now be rolling on the floor laughing. The idea of me running for anything more than last orders will have produced that reaction. But here's hoping I have left myself enough time (7 months) to achieve this goal.
Any and all donations to this cause which has rapidly become very close to my heart will be greatly apprectiated.
Training updates will appear on here...thanks already to Lumpy (Rachel) for making me leave the sofa more than once this year already!
