I have applied for the London Marathon for the last 10 Years , this challenge will now become a reality. Please share and follow this page to see how I am getting on with my training, fundraising and achieving my goal of finishing the TCS London Marathon for Brain Research UK on 2nd October 2022. 

When training is hard and I hit that wall, I will always have my Mum and many others in my mind who have experienced difficulties or who are no longer with us as a result of brain injury and or neurological impairment. This focus and determination will enable me to achieve my fundraising goal and complete the 2022 London Marathon.  

This charity is very close to my heart, the work they do to enable individuals with brain injuries to survive as a result of ground breaking research alongside maximising the quality of life for those living with neurological impairment and diseases of the brain.  As a Neurological Therapist working in the NHS I am greatful for the ground breaking research and projects Brain Reaserch UK fund, this enables me to support patients in maximising their recovery. 

I have always run and my mum was a huge part of this, without fail she would take me to athletics practice week on week and follow me all over the country. I always said to her one day I would run the London  Marathon. It will be a big challenge to build my running distance to be able to complete a full Marathon but I'm ready to take this on.   

The charity also funds projects in other neurological areas, such as epilepsy, brain tumours, traumatic brain injury , stroke and dementia. Please join me in supporting Brain Research UK by sponsoring me on this challenge.
