My grandaughter has this incurable, disease. Katelyn is 3 years old, and was diagnosed at the end of last year. MG is an autoimmune disease where the signals to muscles are attacked by the antibodies that normally fight infection. Her future is unsure, and medication is very hit and miss in one so young. Steroids are making her poorly so she is just about to have an operation, a thyrectomy, which isn't guaranteed to help. I've been raising funds over the last few months and am chuffed to bits that Neil has offered to do this to help.
