Story
This page is dedicated to Neil Rutherford - a truly wonderful, generous, caring and fun father, husband and friend.
Neil was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer on the 14th of May 2019, and passed away on the 12th of July 2019 at home, surrounded by his girls. He was gone so quickly, there was no time to come to terms with the diagnosis before the loss.
Although a short battle, he remained determined to make the most of his time with those he loved. His incredibly wicked sense of humour never faltered.
Pancreatic cancer is a cruel disease. It is insidious and the outcomes as a result are terribly poor. Only around 20% of patients will be alive at 1 year, less than 3% at 5 years and less than 1% at 10 years. This is not acceptable.
Please give generously towards pancreatic cancer research so that these odds start to shift, and prevent others from losing the ones they love.
You will be missed every day Pops xxx
