In August this year I'll be attempting the 4 Peaks challenge for the Advanta Foundation. This is the registered charity of the Advanta Group that Carolyne works for.  I will be one of a team of a dozen people doing this, but as I'm the oldest I'm looking for the most sympathy and in turn, the most amount of sponsors!

The Challenge:  We're tackling 4 of the highest mountains in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland in 48 hours.The challenge will see us summit Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m), Snowdon (1,085m) and Slieve Donard (850m) within a 48-hour window between 10th to 13th August 2022.

The Advanta Group will cover all costs so every penny raised from this event goes directly to the following small charities:

Scotland – Ashton Secondary School, Glasgow

England – Create a Dream (http://www.createadream.co.uk/)

Wales – Latch (https://www.latchwales.org/)

Northern Ireland – Still to be confirmed.

I appreciate every pound is a prisoner in today's world but anything you can give would be much appreciated. This may be my last contribution to my time on this earth!!

In addition, I will be holding a charity race night in the Littlestane Hall in Girdle Toll on Friday 8th July to raise funds. Entry will be £5 on the night, with cheap bar prices, races to lose your money on and exciting raffle prizes to be won on the evening. I'll even throw in some free crisps!
