We are fundraising to be able to give Naomi's Garden a permanent home. We have a team of 26 who are climbing the National Three Peaks on the 19th/20th of June 2021! All the money raised will go towards being able to create a Centre of Wholeness.

Story

So, anyone who knows me knows I LOVE a challenge and I LOVE my volunteering! Towards the end of last year, I reached out to a school friend of mine, Sarah, who I've seen do amazing work over the years with children & adults with movement disorders (Parkinsons/cerebral palsy)  through conductive education with Naomi's Garden, a wonderful organisation setup in memory of a beautiful little girl I once knew, along with her family, who was born with cerebral palsy. I figured since I'd kinda cracked the world of virtual events, I might be able to help in some way by organising a small virtual event for them.

Just over a month later, we were hosting a huge Christmas concert with live & pre-recorded performances with West End & TV stars, special guests inc. Naomi's wonderful family, and a whole production crew behind us. Not what I signed up for but as I said, I like a challenge and WOW, what an achievement/experience (cheers Hannah!).

We're now two virtual events and lots of Facebook/ Insta live sessions & interviews along with more exciting ideas in the pipeline and I feel like am officially part of the Naomi's Garden Team!

So Sarah asked me if I'd like to join the team (there's 26 of us!) taking on the National Three Peaks and since a). I am a huge cheerleader for Naomi's Garden and b). I've seen nothing but my local area over the last year, I said "HELL YES!! SHOW ME A BIT OF WONDER THAT ISN'T THE BACKSTREETS OF PENGE!!!

Obviously living in London is not the best location for getting in training for this level of trekking but I'll be out making sure I am as ready as I can be!

We'll be taking on Ben Nevis first followed by Scafell Pike in the Lake District followed by Snowdon - all in 24 hours (or at least that's the plan) from 19-20th June. I'd be IMMENSELY grateful if you could sponsor me and help me meet my fundraising target which will go towards setting up a permanent home for Naomi's Garden - its wonderful staff, vital equipment and all the inspirational people who rely on their support, skills, time & knowledge. You can read below for more info.

Expect some social media updates of my training (pug included) and a lot of requests for sponsorship for those who can and would like to donate for which we will be very grateful. I'll also be organising a couple of fun-draising activities (boom-boom!) in the next few weeks as part of my fundraising so please get involved in those too! Thanks so much for reading, give me a shout if you want any further info and lots of love & appreciation for YOU x

More about Naomi's Garden...

Naomi's Garden was created to provide a source of hope for individuals who are starting their journey to become whole. Our desire is to see families in Lincolnshire and beyond access what we offer and have a sense of belonging. We are able to offer a number of therapies and services to facilitate this, including Conductive Education, Bowen Therapy and Special Educational Needs (SEND) Consultancy. We deliver therapy, which is both excellent and unique, to every individual. We currently have a waiting list of families waiting to benefit from the unique therapy we provide. Therefore we are looking to be able to create a professional and accessible hub for children and families. However, this is where we need your help. We are looking for financial donations to help us reach our goal in purchasing a building and creating this centre.

About the charity
