Story
When Emma died suddenly in 2017 my family was devastated. Losing a child is against the natural order of life and leaves you questioning your existence. I found SLOW after a couple of abortive attempts to find people who could empathise with all the mixed emotions I was feeling. SLOW - Surviving the Loss of Your World - was founded and is run by bereaved parents, so they understand.
Recently I was very proud to be asked to become a facilitator for SLOW to co-host meetings in London. On my 62nd birthday this October I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for this unique charity.
SLOW - Surviving the Loss of Your World - is an award winning charity run by bereaved parents and siblings providing support for bereaved families in London and throughout the UK. Bereaved members say their support groups are a lifeline, giving them the chance to connect and share their experiences with other bereaved families.
