Back in 2021 my Uncle Michael passed away. This was my Mum's eldest brother and a genuinely lovely and great guy. 

I have many fond memories of the times with Michael over the years. These range from long debates about cars and going to watch Reading FC with him (in the warm hospitality box!) and going with him to the last FA Cup Final at Wembley amongst many others. 

I am thankful to Michael for many things - he enabled me to get on the property ladder and also passed on many wise words over time. 

He will very much be missed. Me riding a few miles on the bike will hopefully enable a few pounds to be raised for research into Parkinsons which Michael suffered with in the later years. 

RIP Michael Whiteway, these miles are for you.
