As some of you reading may know - my Dad, George was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2016. He had treatment at the Freeman Hospital and he really appreciated the good work that The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is working towards for all of us. Since he sadly left us in January 2017 I have wanted to do something to raise funds to help improve the detection and treatment of cancer, and participating in such a prestigious event based in the North East seems like a fitting tribute.
