After last years madness of running 70miles in a day while doing The Wall, I figured this year I would try something a little less stupid, and run in the London Marathon and Great North Run.

Which is quite far, but not quite as far....if you follow my logic.

I am fund raising for Gateshead Redheugh, who I played for back in the 1990s and my son plays currently plays for.

They are aiming to upgrade their facilities with another 3G pitch. This will help the club provide better training facilities all year round for the wider community as well as their teams in all age groups from Under 7's upwards.
