Story
I personally took up fly fishing as a way supporting my mental health whilst I was in hospital suffering from depression. A friend had promised to teach me and on the planned weekend he committed suicide. I taught myself in his memory and he is never far from my thoughts whilst I'm fishing. Throughout my adult life the ability to go fly fishing on a lake or a river has helped me immeasurably. This is my opportunity to give something back to the community that has supported me. I don't normally ask for money but I really would appreciate all the support you can give me.
33 of us will fish the beautiful River Dee for 24 hours, over a midsummer night this June, in support of our habitat, conservation and education projects to protect the iconic wild Atlantic Salmon for the future. and to protect the beautiful River Dee. It will be a great challenge.
