Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been lucky enough to win a place in this year's 2015 London Marathon. I decided to run a marathon in "celebration" of turning 50 last year. The idea is to beat my one previous marathon time of 4 hours 24 minutes set when I celebrated being 40! I was initially unsuccessful in the ballot entry system but was lucky enough to win a competition for those who did not get in through the ballot system.
I have decided to raise funds for the RNIB as part of my celebration. I have an eye condition called keratoconus with which I am able live a normal life with specialist help. Sight is a gift that most of us take for granted but every 15 minutes someone in the UK will start to lose theirs. The RNIB helps to support those that are blind or partially sighted but only manage to reach out to 1 in 3. Any money you can help donate will be very welcome and help make every day better for those affected.
