Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity has given me the chance to run the London Marathon to raise vital funds for their work supporting people living with cancer.

After having run my last competitive marathon in 1982 I though it was about time I gave it another try! I have walked 5 marathons in recent years for Cancer Research UK and was looking for another challenge and an alternative Cancer Charity in support of people living with cancer. Helen Rollason Cancer Charity fits the bill perfectly.

I have fond memories of Helen Rollason as a sports presenter and enjoyed her insightfulness - in particular she was responsible for introducing me to the delights of American Football and explaining the unnecessary complexities of the game!
