Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. A friend and former colleague Sheryl sadly lost her battle with non hodgkin lymphoma on the 13 March 2014 at the age of 34. Sheryl spent her final days at EllenorLions Hospice and I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for the great work they do and in Sheryl's memory.

EllenorLions Hospices provide all encompassing hospice care for adults as well as children and young people free of charge to their patients but with running costs of £6m a year which is raised mainly by donations. Every week, EllenorLions provides hospice care in the family home for 300 adults and 100 children and each year 250 people receive in hospice care.

Those that know me will be aware I am more of a fan of sitting on the sofa watching X-Factor with a pizza and beers than running outside. Years of playing football have left my knees in tatters and this will be the most challenging thing I have ever done in my life. I really do appreciate every penny that people donate as it will make a real difference to the charity.
