My dad had cancer for 22 years before losing that battle. For the first 12 years, Dad led a normal life, going on holidaysand generally enjoying life. For the last 10 years, Dad attended The Christie and the treatment he received was wonderful. He carried on with his life until the last 2 years when he became more housebound only going out on the odd occasion. This is my way of thanking all within Prof Hawkins team and especially Andrea Spencer-Shaw who had a great relationship with Dad and still keeps in touch with mum. Dad lost his battle on 7/03/2014 and dad was always asking me to get my hair cut so this is my way is of doing something for him. So on the 7th June, my sister Jill is going to shave all my hair off.
