Story
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page. Any donations, no matter how big or small would mean so much to us.
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer and our family know only too well the devastating impact it can have. Ian was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in December 2006 at just 44 years old. Following years of treatment and checks, and following years of remission, we all thought he was in the clear. That he'd "beaten" cancer.
Last year we received the devastating news that the cancer had spread throughout his bones and lymphatic system. There's no cure for Ian, but by helping to fund research, we can only hope for better treatments and a cure in the future for the many Dads, sons and brothers who will bravely face prostate cancer.
About the challenge:
Snowdonia for science will see us tackle the less frequently walked paths to the summit of Snowdon, all the while knowing that each step we take is a step towards a world where families are free from the devastating impact of prostate cancer.
Anyone who knows us well will know we aren't the fittest bunch. Jenni in particular has fully embraced the working from home life and is currently in the worst shape of her life. So this challenge will be exactly that - a challenge! But all for the best cause we can think of.
We've always talked about climbing the peaks and it will be an honour to finally do it together alongside Ian for a cause so close to our hearts.
