We support children with brain injuries to improve their quality of life.

Story

So BCS. No I'm afraid it's not the grooming of those parts of my body that are more commonly exposed to sea water than Sun shine.

I'm going to give up booze, caffeine, and sugar.

For three months.

Yes- that takes me to Jan 1st. Which means Christmas and New Year without wine or sherry?? Yikes.

Why not a parachute jump or an abseil? Well I run those kind of events for a living, so it's not so much of a challenge for me. However, I am completely dependent on caffeine to wake me up, sugar to keep me going, and booze to bring me down again. Giving up these three things is my ultra marathon.

I'm also interested in the chemicals in my brain, which all three of these vices affect. Giving up all three at once will be tricky!

As well as your donations, I'll be adding in whatever I would have spent on satisfying these urges. So whenever I would have stopped at a petrol station and bought red bull, M&Ms, and chocolate bars, I'll donate that money. If I would have stopped for a bottle of wine in the way home, I'll donate that money.

Ouch.

So how much should you donate? Well I don't want you to go without, so don't put yourself under pressure. Even 1 pound is great. If you know me, you'll understand that I have absolutely no will power. This is going to be difficult! If you could spare 1 pound per vice per month, that would be 9 pounds.
