Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
How fast the time goes, is it really 8 months since F2A 2018, it's still so fresh in my memory, but here we are in February 2019 and I'm signed up for the 3rd, and last time, to do it again, a hat rick of events seemed in fitting with the football theme and a good way to bow out.
This time last year I was still on crutches after a fall in January and wondering if I would be ready in June, this year I'm injury free, so far, hopefully I'm not tempting fate and it will stay that way, I don't go out in ice anymore but stay indoors on the turbo trainer at least until the sun comes out and it warms up..!!
So here I am again asking friends, family, work colleagues and associates to dig deep and support me one last time to raise as much as possible for Prostate Cancer UK and help towards their efforts to eradicate this horrible disease, which kills a man every 45 minutes and will affect 1 in 8 white men and 1 in 4 black men during their lifetime.
I am back riding again with the same team as last year, although the name has changed to Team Dear North in memory of Paul Dear, one of our fellow riders from London, and a friend of certain members of our team, who unfortunately passed away as a result of an aggressive form of prostate cancer 2 days before last years ride.
It is now just over 17 weeks before the start of F2A 2019 (7th & 8th June) and I have a target of £1200 to reach along with around 400 other riders who will be taking part (split starts in Barnsley and London) in an effort to continue to raise awareness and try and exceed last years total of over £600k.
I know so many of you helped and supported me last year with donations and good wishes, and I thank you all so much, but lets do it just this last time to try and smash all previous targets
Thank you.
