My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a number of years ago and with care and treatment he was able to continue his life for a number of years doing all of the things he enjoyed doing.

He was a great family man, offering advice and support when needed. Cheerful and happy with a great sense of humour, always looking on the bright side of life.

He would give of his time to anyone be it cub leader, active member of the history group or community in general, nothing was ever a problem. He regularly raised funds for various groups and freely gave of his time.

I have decided to take part in the great north run 2014 for Prostate Cancer UK to raise as much money as I can for the care and research into this illness. Because thats what my dad would have done.

I am running with my wife who is taking part in aid of the Alzheimers Society and all donations will be greatly received. Thankyou.
