Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Loony Dook page.

The Loony Dook is a 25 year tradition of taking a dip in the fresh waters of the Forth River off the beach at South Queensferry.  I did it a couple of years ago partly as an ambition fulfillment and partly so the first expenditure of the year went to charity.

This year I'm going for it again and thought I'd try and raise a few more greenbacks for the Prostate Cancer charity mainly because my Dad has been through the disease.

You can get a feel for the day from the Official Loony Dook Website at www.theloonydook.co.uk or you could come and cheer us or join us on the New Year.

Thanks for visiting...

Oh yes, forgot to mention that yes, there will be photographic and possibly video evidence....

...and possible hypothermia...
