Story
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down.
This happened to me last year.
The road to recovery is a long one (I never realised how long) and things you took for granted change
Without doctors, occupational therapists, family, nurses and everyone that helps it would be even harder and for that I cannot thank them enough
Everyone is affected differently and while there are some physical side effects ( picking up anything with my right hand is still tough) most of my symptoms cannot be seen, it takes those with experience or knowledge to tell you what to expect and that you are not alone in feeling this way
The specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
