Story

Just before Xmas, mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and since then she has been in rapid decline. Her mother also had Alzheimer’s so we know what we’re in for in the next few months. On July 16th I’ll be walking 26 miles (42km) in 8-9 hours to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. As an added challenge I’ve also given up alcohol for 3 months and the 3 month anniversary is the day of the walk. Everyone is struggling with the cost of living now so I appreciate it’s not a great time to be asking for donations, but if you can spare a pound or dollar I’d really appreciate it. Don’t worry if you can’t - I’ll be doing this to raise awareness even if I raise no money. Thanks in advance if you can see yourself to donating something. Love to all. Neil x

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
