Hi everyone!
As you are probably aware, I have had a kidney transplant. This followed years of feeling ill and then the hell of dialysis. I wouldn't wish it on anyone - particularly children.
Now - thanks be to my sister who gave me her kidney - I have a child of my own. It would not have happened without her selflessness. She is, indeed, the one to blame for our interrupted sleep. And the one to thank for the joy of our son.
Like his father, he is very silly (see picture). More than anything, I wish him a healthy life.
However. So many children have to endure the hell of kidney disease.
Now I am helathy once more, I am going to do what I tried to do in 2002, and get around the 26.2 of London. As many of you will be aware, it was my collapse in 2002 at Canary Wharf that sent me to the doctor to my diagnosis of renal failure.
Demons, I say, be gone.
And let the good people do good things with their 'extra' dosh.
Love to all.
Neil
