Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 27th July 2014 I will be taking on one of the great endurance events, an Ironman. At 6am I will swim 3800 metres (2.4 miles) down a narrow rowing lake in amongst 1450 competitors. Once I have finished that I will jump straight on my bike and cycle 112 miles. After that I only have to run a marathon (26.2 miles). This all has to be done in under 17 hours.

The day will be hard but the training in many ways is tougher. Cycling and running in the wind, rain and sometimes snow. Crashing on the ice on training rides, constantly carrying minor injuries, illness, tiredness, early morning training sessions.......

It will all be worth it if I finish the event and raise money for a charity that is very important to me and my family.
