Story
We are a group of frontline 999 staff based at High Wycombe Ambulance Station and we are fundraising for South Central Ambulance Charity. They exist to help your local ambulance service to help you.
South Central Ambulance Service serve the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. This area covers approximately 3,554 square miles with a residential population of over 4.6 million.
SCAS has three main functions...
- the accident and emergency service to respond to 999 calls
- the 111 service for when medical help is needed fast but it’s not a 999 emergency
- the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service
We are fundraising to purchase new bags for our personal protection equipment. This includes our helmets and high visibility clothing that we frequently have to wear at road traffic collisions and in other challenging conditions around the local area.
We will be hosting various events throughout June in order to raise money and awareness for the South Central Ambulance Charity. This will include car washing, bucket collections, guess how many balloons fill the ambulance cab, bake off and many more...!!!!! :)
Thank you for your support
