Neal, my husband, was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia and passed away just 18 hours later.  This is an incredibly fast acting type of Leukaemia.   We had no idea that he was so ill, and had no chance to investigate or possibly treat this disease.  If I can only help in this small way to help others recognise the symptons and be treated then I feel I will be doing the best I can. The average age for contracting this type of Leukaemia is 40. Around 200 adults are diagnosed with this disease each year.
