Story
I've never wanted to run a marathon. But in 2019 I though I'd enter the ballot for the London Marathon for 2020, and on the very slim chance that I got in would add it to the list of things I'd do in my 50th year. And somehow I was successful! Then COVID came along.
So now I'm doing it 18 months later than planned. 18 months of more injuries and lots more miles! I've chosen to fundraise for a charity that has become very close to my heart. I got involved with Action for A-T back in June 2014, as a volunteer to start with and as a part time employee for the last few years. We fund research into a rare condition in children called Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).
The last 18 months have had a devastating effect on most charities' fundraising, and Action for A-T is no exception. Any donation that you can make, no matter how large or small, will make a huge difference to this amazing small charity. And will help to find a cure, or treatments, for this life limiting condition.
