Story
A few years ago, I was playing football in Southampton. I received a text from the welfare officer early in the morning to visit him as soon as I arrived at the training ground. I arrived at the ground where I was told my dad had suffered a major heart attack and was in a coma in Taunton hospital. I was told he had been dragged from his bosses car who performed roadside CPR on my dad waiting for the ambulance. My father went 36 minutes without oxygen to his brain and needed to be defibrillated 7 times. This was an extremely traumatic and frightening time for our family. Dad is now thankfully recovered and doing well. BUT, without the help of BHF and all the vital equipment and research they provide, I am unsure whether pops would be here today. I know me and my family are extremely grateful for their continued work and will do anything we can to aid them.
