I finished the NDW100 yesterday morning in 22h51m30s! A truly amazing experience which left me with a great sense of achievement. I finished in 8th place out of 75 starters. Half the field dropped by half way. The amount raised on this page is truly staggering!! Thank you thank you for your generosity and support for this cause!! Simply Awesome :-D
Unbelievably we have now hit the £1,500 mark (three times my original target)!! Amazing amazing :-) thank you everybody. This will be matched by my company too to raise over £3,000 in total!!
Thank you so much to everyone for your generosity. I'm completely overwhelmed with the support shown by friends and family for this cause.
On 13th August I am taking part in the North Downs Way 100 which is a 100 mile foot race from Farnham in Surrey to Knockholt Pound and back again! I hope to complete the distance in under 22 hours running all day and all night.
To make this undertaking that bit more special and worthwhile I am raising money for the DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal. East Africa is facing one of the worst droughts in 60 years, and as a consequence 11 million people in East Africa are now facing starvation.
During a food crisis, malnutrition means people are more vulnerable to disease: cases of life threatening illnesses such as diahorrea and measles are on the rise. The increase in vulnerability to disease affects children worst.
Please donate whatever you can - you will save lives!!!!
£20 can vaccinate 20 children against deadly measles
£50 can feed a family of six for two weeks
£100 can buy four family hygiene kits to prevent the spread of disease
Thank you
