Story
Thankyou for visiting our Just Giving page.
Who we are
We are Andy Dowling, Andy Gaunt, Chris Williams, Lee Briggs, Graham Crouchman, Mark Kiedish and Neill Boulton. We met in 2011 via the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) as we were all expecting our first child around the same time. 10 years on and 17 kids later, we've kept in touch and supported each other throughout the years!
The Challenge
On 21 May 2022 we are climbing the 3 highest peaks in GB (Ben Nevis at 1,344m, Scafell Pike at 978m & Snowden at 1,085m). It consists of 26 miles of ascents and descents and 430 miles travelling between mountains, all to be done within 24 hours!
The Charity
Farleigh Hospice is a registered charity (no. 284670) which provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex. They help patients to live as actively as possible from the point of diagnosis to the end of their life, by providing physical and emotional care, free of charge.
With approximately 40% of their yearly running costs being funded by the local NHS, they rely on the support and goodwill of the local mid Essex community to contribute to the £16,500 it costs to provide their services each day.
The Reason
We have personal experiences of the care, support and kindness staff at Farleigh Hospice have provided to some of our family members and friends overs the years.
We are very pleased to be helping such a worthwhile charity which serves our local community so well during difficult times.
The Ask
We came together 10 years ago to support each other for parenthood, we stayed connected, and aim to complete this challenge together!
Your donation will contribute to Farleigh's running costs and is greatly appreciated. Wish us luck and we will keep you posted!
