Story
Autism is a developmental disability that needs important awareness spread, as is it often widely disregarded by the UK population. Around 700,000 people in the UK are on the autism spectrum - more than 1 in 100. This means that there is an extremely high chance that someone you know has autism. This is why more attention needs to be paid towards it. Many autistic people feel like they have to mask their true personalities, which will detriment their mental heath, as true emotions seem to "bottle up," and often become overwhelming. In addition, over the past few years, mostly due to lockdown due to the COVID pandemic, metal health levels have gotten worse. With the right attention and care, both autistic people and people with poor mental health can feel better about themselves, and create a happier UK population.
