NCS Team 5 are out here to Crush the Brush with a Hush on behalf of Quetzal. We will be taking part in a variety of different activities to raise money such as a 10k walk, creation of a sculpture for the charity and a just danceathon!

We are the only womens service in Leicester offering a specialist crisis service for survivors of historic abuse as well as offering the long-term in-depth counselling that is needed to deal with deeply embedded issues related to childhood trauma. We are open to all women in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland over the age of 16.Information coming in from the Ministry of Justice and the Police shows that the COVID-19 social distancing measures are leading to an increase in sexual violence within the home setting. Consequently, there is also likely to be a surge in victims and survivors coming forward in the 3 months after the cessation of social distancing. Our services are in extremely high demand, we already have a substantial waiting list and high rates of referrals coming in constantly. We accept self-referrals as well referrals from local partner agencies and organisations. The covid-19 pandemic and lockdown will put increased pressure on our already stretched service.
