On Sunday 12th July 2015 I will be taking on a physically daunting challenge, namely running the Leeds 10K Run (whilst fasting 19 hrs)! Sounds crazy doesn't it?! Yes, I will have no access to water or drink. Hundreds of thousands of Syrian children have become orphaned because of the 5 year conflict in their country which shows no sign of ending. They have lost their parents to the conflict - many have witnessed horrific crimes a child should never witness such as their parents being killed in front of them.

During this Ramadan I am aiming to raise enough funds to support 42 Orphans (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) for 1 year in SKT Welfare's flagship Springs of Hope Family Centre in the Turkish/Syrian border town of Reyhanli. This is due to open in a couple of months time & is a 75 room purpose built accomodation for 75 widows & over 200 Syrian children. I personally saw progress on this unique place during my recent trip there delivering pre-Ramadan Food Parcels & toys for Syrian children. I met countless Syrian Orphans & have made it my mission to try & help them.
